Environmental problems are problems that people struggle with to keep the world clean and green (a fresh environment). One environmental problem that people struggle with is litter. That's why I’m give you some reasons on how to reduce the impact of litter. One way to reduce the impact of litter is too casual go around your neighborhood and pick up rubbish. Yes I know, I know this tip was bound to come up but trust me It works. You can set a time for you to do this for an example: Start at 11am and finish when ever you can’t see any more. Another way to reduce the impact of litter is too reduce, reuse and recycle. A lot of people say this but yet they don’t do it. To reduce you need to only buy the things that you will use and make a compost bin or a worm farm. To reuse you need to take reusable shopping bags when you go shopping and reuse glass jars to store and freeze food. To recycle you need to make sure you buy recyclable items and put all acceptable recyclable items in the garbage dump when you are finished with them. Don’t keep this simple yet effective tip to yourself tell all your friends and family so they can do it to. One more way to reduce the impact of litter is to ditch the plastic bags, stop using disposable plates and learn to repair items instead of throwing them away. By doing this along with the other tips I’ve given you, you will definitely see a cleaner greener and healthier neighborhood. I really hope you learned something while reading this explanation piece of writing. If everyone helps to reduce the impact of litter then we would have a much nicer world. Expectations for Term 3

Kia ora Bloggers today I'm going to tell you about some of my expectations for term 3. First and fore most the theme for this year is "Learn From Yesterday Change Tomorrow", Term 1 & 2 are based around "Learn From Yesterday" and term 3 & 4 are based around "Change Tomorrow". Since this term is based on "Change Tomorrow" I will mostly be talking about things that are predicted to happen in the future. Firstly I think we should base our learning around the so called "Hover car/board" I think this is something I would really enjoy doing. Another thing I want to talk about (and something I kinda know we are going to do) is Mount Ruapehu like I said, I'm guessing  we are going to do it because we are going on our Ski trip there. DARK 0’CLOCK

Do you hear that? Its the sound of bright yellow pee dripping from the top of the toilet. My life flashed before my eyes because of All the worn out beds with dead blood thirsty bodies trying to haunt you at night. The floor is like an elephant's dry bonny skin from the 80’s. Its as if the roof was about to be crushed by king kong. The room is like a vampire's top secret lair. The walls are about to burn into crips because of the dark black ashes hanging from the ceiling.  

Up Coming Science Fair

Kia ora everyone,
This term we have been focusing on the up coming science fair. My group is doing a bottle rocket, a bottle rocket is a bottle filled with baking soda and vinegar with a quark on top of the lid. It also has pencils stuck to the the side with duck tape for stabilisers to support the bottle when its being tipped up- side down. The members in my group are ,Rico,Tae & T.A. Zoofari

This week we drove to Auckland Zoo to go on an epic Zoofari!!! When we got there we were introduced to the old elephant house where we saw a young lady named Tasha. She explained the rules about the Zoofari and told us where we were going to sleep. We all had a FANTASTIC time on the Zoofari and saw a lot of animals that none of us were expecting to see!! 

I recently finished an animal report about a panda. Little did I know that I wasn't going to see a black and white panda.....but I did see a red panda! It was so fast!!!

Argument Writing

Stop the Hackers

You have all heard the news. Some company has had to close its doors for the day because their computer system crashed. Why!! Someone hacked it, of course.  I believe that people should stop hacking. Hacking is stealing private data from other people's computers or interfering with computer systems so that you cause serious problems.  I believe that people should stop hacking.

Here are my reasons why:

Firstly:    Hacking is a big, fat threat to all humanity. It’s a ginormous menace and this is why. Hackers can steal people’s accounts that have incredibly private information such as passwords, emails, addresses, bank accounts and much, much more. Now that’s just plain rude!! Hackers get into people's computers and start trying to get private data. They could steal all your money. AND THAT'S NOT GOOD!!!

Secondly, hackers can mess with people’s work and  jobs and some jobs are really important for health and safety reasons.  Hackers can stop  important things happening like medical treatments for cancer and surgery. Some hackers have found their way into computer systems of hospitals and messed up so many records and appointments that the hospitals have had to stop work for the day. AND THAT'S NOT FUNNY.

Finally, hackers can put fake information into places. Imagine trying to get a job and finding out that hackers had changed your records so that it looked like you had no qualifications. Imagine how you would feel. The opposite can happen too. Hackers can change records about criminals to make them look good. Then you might end up hiring a murderer to babysit your kids! NOW THAT'S DEFINITELY NOT GOOD!!!

So, I’m sure you must agree with me. Hacking is horrible, hurtful and harmful to humans.  It robs people of their belongings, it can put people’s health at risk, and you will never know what is true and what is fake. It should be stopped once and for all!!  If you are out there and you are a hacker, please STOP!!   Stop it, right NOW!!!

Onesie Day

Today we had an animal onesie day because we are fundraising for the year 1 & 2 zoo trip. Our group dressed up as zebras. Zebras are members of the horse family. They are mammals.

My Digital learning(Storyboard That)

This is my Storyboard That vocabulary web.Storyboard That is a website that you go on to create your own storyboards. Our teacher wanted us to base our storyboard on a book called The Anzac Puppy. She took words from the book and put them on to a doc then I had to collect 6 of those words and put them into a storyboard  and put the meaning and add pictures. I enjoyed it greatly:)

Aeakai And The Dark Dragon

Long ago, before earth had a name,there was this lonely planet,it was as black as coal not a single life was to be seen.One day that planet started to rumble! and rumble! The planet started to crack! and crack! All was down for the lonely planet of darkness, it desperately needed some help! Earth was cracking and rumbling so much that out came an egg out of nowhere and it started to hatch. What hatched out of the egg you ask? Out hatched was this one dragon and that dragon was named Aeakai. Incredibly over powered He had the power to Make strong mighty Blizzards! He also had the amazing power to make it extremely hot! Aeakai can make some incredible hail! And last but not least he can make it epicly windy! Aeakai was unsure how He go these fantastic powers, but he was sure how to use them in a good way. He used these powers to make Earth a lively place Aeakai looked around him, there were beautiful green trees fresh meadow grass all seemed good. But on another planet far away from earth there was this egg that was about to hatch…… Bang! Boom! Bang! The egg hatched, Into an evil dragon named Poyu! Poyu saw earth and wanted to crush it smash it until nothing was to be seen. So Poyu flew over to earth and started to crush and smash Aeakai’s creation! Aeakai saw the terrible mess that was happening.   

Aeakai flew up into the air and used all of powers combined to attack Poyu!

But all it did was deflect of Poyu and hit Aeakai! Aeakai came crashing to the ground!  Aeakai stopped and thought while Poyu continued crush earth, Aeakai needed to find a way to attack without Attacking. He thought and thought, Aeakai had an idea! Do you want to know what Aeakai’s idea was?Aeakai flew up into the air very weak but still holding on! He started to spin around in circles faster each time until……….. HE CREATED A TORNADO! Poyu got dragged up into the air into outer space!(and then died because of oxygen loss) Then Aeakai was going to use his powers to fix earth but he would die! Aeakai was brave so he used his powers to fix earth and died but don’t worry Aeakai is always within our hearts and that today is why we have the lovely planet earth that we call home:) 

Learning how to survive in water

Today the gang is in pool learning some survival methods ,with the swim for life people! We learned tons of stuff The first one was making a chain which is better in rough waters. The second one  was a line, the line is better in currents. It was such fun learning how to survive in water!
